This Privacy Policy explains how Pilli (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Pilli mobile application and this website.

Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you use the app, you may enter content such as habit titles, habit notes, tasks, notes, and journal entries. This content is stored locally on your device.
Photos and camera (optional)
If you choose to attach photos to journal entries, the app may request access to your photo library and/or camera. Selected photos are stored with your journal entry on your device.
Location (optional)
If you choose to add a place to a journal entry, the app may request access to your location (when in use). Location is used to fill in optional place fields (such as a place name and approximate coordinates) and is stored with that journal entry on your device.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app may request permission to send notifications. We do not receive or store your notification content on our servers.
Analytics and tracking
With “Share Anonymous Usage” enabled, we use PostHog to understand which features are used and where the app can be improved. This may include app lifecycle events, screen names, habit creation and completion actions, paywall interactions, app version, device and operating-system information, and approximate location derived from an IP address. We do not send habit titles, notes, checklist text, category names, photos, precise location, your name, or your email address to PostHog.
Analytics use a randomly generated device identifier and are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Session replay and interaction autocapture are disabled. You can stop future analytics collection at any time in Settings by turning off “Share Anonymous Usage.”
How We Use Information
- To provide core app features (habits, tasks, notes, reminders, journaling).
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To maintain and improve the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share limited data with service providers such as PostHog and RevenueCat only to operate, analyze, and improve the app, or when required by law or to protect our rights.
Data Retention
Your content is stored on your device. You can delete entries within the app or delete the app to remove local data.
Anonymous analytics data is retained according to our PostHog project settings. You can disable future collection in the app and contact us with privacy requests.
Third‑Party Services
The app is distributed via Apple’s App Store. Apple may collect information as described in Apple’s policies. We do not receive your payment information.
If you purchase a Pilli Pro subscription, we use RevenueCat to manage and verify that subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous subscriber identifier and your purchase/subscription status (for example, whether you have an active Pro subscription) so the app can unlock Pro features and let you restore your purchase on a new device. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment card details — those are handled directly by Apple. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details.
We use PostHog as our product analytics provider when anonymous usage sharing is enabled. PostHog processes the limited analytics information described above. See PostHog’s privacy policy for details.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, update, or delete personal information. Because Pilli does not require accounts, analytics are not tied to an account profile. If you contact us, we may retain the email thread for support purposes.
Children’s Privacy
Pilli is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the app and our communications. However, no method of storage is 100% secure. Please keep your device secure.
